Our First Advocacy Day in DC – Call your Elected Officials!
LVEJO goes to DC, Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
We are going with Transit Riders for Public Transportation (TRPT).
TRPT will meet with Congressmembers and Senators to discuss the importance of providing Transit Operating Funds. Operating funds for public transit can help lower fares and improve transit service in the Chicago region and across the country.
We invite you to go this event with us. If you are not able to go, you can help by calling you Senators and Representatives and inviting them to an important Congressional Briefing with Congresswoman Grace Napolitano of California.
Call: (202) 224-3121 | TTY: (202) 225-1904
Tell your elected official:
Please attend the
Congressional Briefing (hosted by Congresswoman Grace Napolitano and TRPT)
“The Crisis In Mass Transit Operations Funding and the Next Federal Surface Transportation Act: New Opportunities to Improve Public Health, Climate Change, and Civil Rights”
We invite you to join us Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 3 PM in House ofRepresentatives Building located at 2253 Rayburn House Office Building.
Visit the TRPT site for more information.
