In July 2010, LVEJO took park in the Transit Riders for Public Transportation meeting. The meeting took place at the United Puerto Rican Organization of Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Otherwise known as UPROSE. During our visit, I got to see UPROSE’s diesel-electric hybrid bus, which they use in their EJ tours.  It is painted up 360 degrees with a beautiful mural reflecting the culture and struggles of Sunset Park. 

These images give an example of what sort of vehicles our 31st Street Bus Cooperative might be able to run.  The buses would not only serve as a sustainable, low energy way to access jobs, education and services, but also a work of art!
