More bus bunching today:
Left from Cheltenham/South Shore for Marshall today at 8:55 AM.
Just as I walked outside, I saw I had missed a northbound #26 South Shore Express. The follower was a no-show, so I took a #6 Jackson Park Express (after a 12 minute wait, the southbound was late, as 2 came together, turned around at 79th (1 block south) and returned north) to 67th/Jeffery and transferred to the #14 Jeffrey Express, of which 2 were loading. No problem getting a seat.
Got off at Madison/Wabash, went to Dunkin Donuts, came back 8 minutes later and waited 9 minutes for a #20 Madison. One was sitting a half-block east of the stop. When it pulled up, I boarded as the driver was using GPS device to signal CTA Control that he was late. Interesting, since he sat idling for 5-6 minutes. Got off at Kedzie 22 minutes later and follower was a block behind.
